The Jacksonville Mitigation Skill-Building Training will be held on October 13 - 15 (venue to be announced). Led by Dr. Jill Patterson, an expert in narrative defense and fiction writing, this training will guide practitioners through a series of intensive small-group workshops, providing the tools to compose narratives that are both compelling and evidence-based. Capacity is limited to 50 participants. Applications will be prioritized based on need (access to high-quality training), the scope of mitigation work/practice, and our commitment to diversify the field in all areas. Final decisions will be emailed to applicants by September 2nd.
In an effort to eliminate as many barriers possible to quality mitigation practice, this training is offered free of charge. Each attendee is responsible for all related expenses to attend the training. Scholarships are not available.
